Maria Tecce's acting career started in the mid-1990's, her first professional work being with Shakespeare & Company, a Boston based theatre producing both Shakespeare and modern works, and later in Ireland in theatre, film, and television. Music runs in tandem with acting in this Boston-born performer's life and over the last few years Maria has steadily gained recognition for both her performing and writing on the music scenes in Ireland and Europe. Originally a folk & blues singer Maria now fronts her own jazz and blues band based in Dublin and also writes and performs her own one-woman jazz/cabaret shows at festivals around Europe.
